Zutaten
  

For the Casserole
  • 800 g Potatoes peeled and sliced
  • 500 g Minced Beef or pork
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 200 ml Cream or milk
  • 200 g Cheese grated, for topping
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil for frying
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Paprika optional

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. Add the minced meat, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and cook until browned.
Assemble the Casserole
  1. In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes.
  2. Spread the meat mixture over the potatoes.
  3. Top with the remaining potato slices.
  4. Pour the cream evenly over the top and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Bake
  1. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
  3. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
