Zutaten
  

For the Filling
  • 200 g Ground Beef Can substitute with ground turkey or vegetarian meat.
  • 100 g Rice Use uncooked white or brown rice.
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 tsp Paprika Smoked paprika for extra flavor.
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper Freshly ground.
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil For sautéing.
For the Peppers
  • 4 medium Bell Peppers Any color, cut into rings.
  • 100 g Cheese Grated, for topping.
For the Sauce
  • 400 g Tomato Sauce Canned or homemade.
  • 1 tsp Italian Herbs Dried oregano and basil.

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté the mixture for about 5 minutes until the meat is browned.
Prepare the Peppers
  1. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds. Slice them into rings about 1 inch thick.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Assemble the Dish
  1. In a baking dish, spread a layer of tomato sauce mixed with Italian herbs.
  2. Place the pepper rings in the dish and fill each ring with the meat and rice mixture.
  3. Top with remaining tomato sauce and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
Bake
  1. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
