Zutaten

Fleischbällchen
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped
Gurkensalat
  • 1 large cucumber sliced
  • 1 tbsp vinegar white or apple cider
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp dill fresh or dried
Kartoffelstampf
  • 800 g potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 100 ml milk warm
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 tsp salt

Method

Prepare the Fleischbällchen
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  3. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add a little oil. Fry the meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.
Make the Gurkensalat
  1. In a bowl, combine sliced cucumber, vinegar, sugar, salt, and dill. Toss to coat and let sit for about 10 minutes to marinate.
Prepare the Kartoffelstampf
  1. Boil the cubed potatoes in salted water until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain well.
  2. Add warm milk and butter to the potatoes and mash until smooth. Season with salt to taste.
Serve
  1. Plate the meatballs alongside the cucumber salad and mashed potatoes. Enjoy your meal!
